Blow in Cellulose behind lathe

I have removed cracked and damaged plaster from a room, but left the lathe.
I want to know if anyone has blown in cellulose behind the lathe before putting up sheet rock.
What sort of R value will I get with using the standard Homedepot blower?
I think that because the lathe has gaps to let the air out I should get a good density. Better than doing it from outside after the sheetrock is up.

Some say the HD blowers aren't strong enough to dense pack effectively. I have never used them so I can't say for certain.

As far as doing it and whether you should, that depends on your climate, exterior cladding/wall type, and moisture management.

If you go in there and start dense packing walls, you can create some unintentional and disastrous issues if you aren't careful and fully informed going in.

Also...don't use the HD cellulose. Get something that is borate only stabilized as compared to stabilized with ammonium sulfates.
