16 large bags of used insulation, any wrong in putting them in attic?

Hey guys, I removed all of the fiberglass insulation from the roof of my garage, as the wood holding it up needed replacing, so I bagged all of the insulation, ended up with 16 of these large bags, now instead of throwing it in the dump, is there any harm in putting them in my attic? I dont so much want to open the bags and throw the stuff around, but simply placed the bags ontop, possibly double bag them? And just leave them there, figure they cant do any harm and may marginally even help, and saves some landfill space and the $16 disposal fees

Would a particle spot be ideal? Would double bagged be necessary?

Cheers

if the ceiling can hold the weight. you are right, it will marginally help.
but you get much more benefit dumping the bags, even if thats all you did. .

I agree with Fix'n it. Why not spread it around on top of your existing insulation?

another alternative to paying a fee is put them on craigslist for free. They will be gone today if your in a populated area.
