Ryobi Gas Tiller

I have a 9", 31 cc gas powered rotor tiller. It's put in many years of good service and may have just reached the natural end of it's life expectancy.
Taking it to a pro for repair would definitely cost more than a new one, but I'd like to give it one more chance for revival for sending it to the dump.
Last fall I ran some Stabil treated gas through it and emptied the tank.

Now when I start it, it runs for about 5 seconds and then quits. Acts like it's burning the gas from the priming bulb but not getting gas from the tank. Plan to take it apart and see if I can blow out the gas lines, check any filters, etc. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Rob

I would look up the cost of a new carburetor, that's most likely the problem if it's starting and then stalling. it might be a little cheaper to buy a carb kit and you could clean out the existing carb, but a new carb is most likely only a $10-$25 part and will save you the headache of cleaning it out.

could also be the air filter or the gas lines.

Where in maine are you??

The carbs can be really cheap on Ebay.
