Northeast type of grass/seed for planting in fall (new homeowner)

So I have always helped around the house, now I own one and planning on dethatching the lawn and planting some grass. I live in Northern New Jersey and have had alot of confusion on what type of grass / seed mix to use. I would say my yard 60% sun 40% shade. Any all recommendation is greatly appreciated or any links to seeding 101 would also be appreciated!

THANKS!

This site would be my recommendation. If possible, take them a few photos of your landscape, areas of shade etc. describing the different directions of your house for sun / light exposure for the differing seasons. I've found extension services to be very helpful.

Probably a similar mix to what we use around here - bluegrass, perennial rye and red fescue.
