I was drilling in the wall and messed up majorly because it was at the wrong spot, and size. even accidently drilled into the stud. Now I have to fix it before my wife finds out. Any idea on what to do? Help is much appreciated guys.

EDIT: Got some pictures.

Buy some spackle and a putty knife or something to apply it, then try to shape the spackle before it hardens to match the wall texture, maybe using a nail.

I have found that spackle and a damp sponge will give you a comparable texture, but the hard part is going to be matching that antique white paint if you have none left over.

Afraid of your wife?

Choose a picture that she loves and tape it there. Pick one of the wedding or something and say you just want to be reminded of how lucky you are each and every day. Maybe put the tape under neath so it doesn't look tacky.

She won't want to break your heart and so will leave it there thus buying you time

I had to patch a textured wall, used drywall mud to fill the hole and then pressed a wad of clay on the wall to capture the texture, carefully pressed it on the compound to blend in the patch.Took a little tinkering but worked.

haha yeah she was telling me not to do it. Right behind a door so it would look really odd.

So dry wall mud or spackle it is. Thanks guys.
