Serious threat.

Since my daughter bought her house 1.5 yrs ago the next door neighbor's laundry washer drains onto her yard. Very near her house.

Several months ago I saw the man an asked him to come over an look at standing water. He said he'd fix it.

Last week my daughter discovered the water caused a hole 12x18" wide an 8-16" deep on her property. She told the wife about it. My daughter deals with the public, is friendly, professional and well liked.

That night after dark the man got home an yelled, towards her house, "I'm going to f*cking make you regret you moved here."

I wanted to call the police. She doesn't want to escalate this matter. Its been a week an we haven't heard any more from him. The city was notified about the hole Then they talked to the neighbor.

I'm very sad she has a neighbor like this. This is a lovely neighborhood with very nice homes. Why is he so mean when he knows he should fix his pipes?

His wife said the sprinklers broke. But everytine they do laundry theres a flood. Someone said he had a French drain that failed.

Does he sound like someone we should be afraid of?

The city inspector called us today and said the matter is resolved. He explained to the neighbor you can't cause holes in other people's property and the neighbor agreed to correct the problem.

Our City inspectors look like strong authority figures. Besides the big badge at their waist and other stuff hooked to their belt they now have to wear bullet proof vests. (Even tho this area is relatively quiet)

Frustrating the neighbor didn't listen to me, or to my daughter, but only took action when the city got involved.
