I've always loved wood.
My father was a store designer and display man --also a DIYer so typical of the world war two veteran.
The smell of freshly cut wood brings back memories of my dad.
I was lucky enough to make my living building things for the greater part of my life.
Like so many folks,I started down the road to being a builder as a young man--but life took a turn.I put away the chisels and saws for a time.
For over 20 years,I was a formal off premise caterer---that is a long story ,best left for another time.
I sold that business in 1993---I was looking forward to starting a new business---Importing fine giftware--well that idea never has happened, yet.
I found a need for work with flexible hours-
What else? remodeling---the jobs started out small--and grew --
I've curbed the size of the jobs to kitchen and bathrooms---but we did build two additions in the last couple of years---
The work is fun---retirement is looming on the horizon---perhaps the importing business would make a nice third career----
