what exactly did you use to get it to look like this and are you happy with your results? very curious to know I my self am looking for ideas and products for my red brick fireplace do not want a PAINTED look but need a lighter brighter color to enhance the brick keeping it as natural as possible.

Sorry, I didn't answer right away. I have been real busy. I used latex primer with an old thick brush to get in grout lines. Then I used 2 or 3 colors. I did a base coat of the creamy neutral. Then I dry brush blotted a greyish and brownish color in varying spots and then wiped it off with a dry rag in blotting method. I wanted a stone look with a lighter finish but you coud use anything. Just use a primer, then a base coat of a solid color then have fun with 2 or three other colors. Try it on a brick before you do the whole thing, you can't undo it once the brick soaks up the paint.

Oh and yes, it turned out pretty much like I planned. I love it and it changes the room from old to new and dark to bright. I will post the finished room after I stage it.
