Wrong roof vent for bathroom exhaust?

If you ever get a definitive answer post it, I'd love to know what that was about. What the hell kinda raccoons do that?

Kwikfishron, I never realized coons caused such damage until looking around after your post. I've never run into it before and you'd think in this area it would be prevalent. Those lil bastadges can do some damage, geez!

Best of luck vanishingson. Glad you got it sorted. Welcome to home-ownership.

I‘ve seen it twice, the first one looked just like vanishingsons, in a little cricket valley. I wasn’t sure what it was other than obvious claw marks.

The other was a much bigger mess, under the eves of two dormers on the same roof. There was actually a baseball sized hole in the sheathing and droppings all over the place. All I could figure is they were trying to get into the attic to nest.

The one thing they both had in common were tree branches touching the house.
