We have aluminum siding from the late 80's or early 70s with part of the aluminum having a vertical pattern we are not a fan of. I know we have wood underneath. Anyone had a similiar situation with aluminum on top of wood for say 30 years and then taken it off? Just wondering what condition the wood would be in. Could is be repainted and have a decent result or what would have to be done to restore the wood siding?
My wife liked LP smart siding. Just seemed silly to put that on top of what we have. We both just aren't huge fans of vinyl and or aluminum needs paint or replacing. We just have a two story home and the front of the home on the upper level the siding is vertical which we aren't huge fans of. Just trying to figure out our options.
