What size airline for coil nailer?

I'm finally roofing this weekend and need to pick up some airlines and a coil nailer. I'm thinking about the Northern Tool coil nailer, good reviews and inexpensive. What size airline would anyone recommend? I see 3/8 and 1/4" but am not sure of the difference. Anyone know?

A 3/8" rubber hose is a good all-around hose. Spend the extra money on the rubber though...It is easier to manage.

Its not worth going for a cheap nailer, they suck.Spend a few more bucks and get a brand name.Save some money and shop on Ebay $2-300 gets you a good gun,I use Milwaukees, but Bostich and Hitachi are the good ones.As far as airlines both sizes work,I personally like 3/8.Stay away from Pvc lines though, stick with rubber(IMO).Rubber is more flexible,Pvc tends to kink and doesnt wrap up good.Remember, you get what you pay for!!!Good luck.

Check out the local Pawn Shops for a Roofing Nail Gun in good working order.

Hitachi and Bostich are the most common and most recommended.

3/8" rubber hose, but if you are only using it one time, then a 1/4" will suffice.
