What product to use for (temp) patching/sealing roof?

I'll post photos of what I want to patch later. But for now specifically:

* area where vent flashing meets valley flashing

* gap areas around flashing and shingles

* cover/seal exposed nails (that were used to nail down shingles and flashing)

Would I need a set of products, or would a single product cover all this?

I had a roofer assess my roof and while there are some problem areas, may be able to get by patching roof for a few years to delay a reroof since there's still a few years life in the roof.

He suggested going to hardware store and getting some roofing tar (or similar) product named Henry's. I just want to know the specific details of product to get. I did a brief online search for Henry roofing products and there's a few. So what particular product(s) of that brand or another brand should I get?

Thanks, what about roofing cement or (elastomeric) roof coating? It seems most products don't label by "roofing tar". And they may come in white, black, or grey.

Should I only look for "roofing tar" or the other labels as well?

What particular brand/label of roofing tar did you use? Do you remember?

When we first moved in to our house about a year ago, we had some high winds come through. Since there is very few trees where we are, we felt every bit of the 40-50 mph winds. Some shingles started lifting, so I went to Lowes and got a gal of Black Jack All-Weather Roof Cement. It has worked great. I used an old masonry trowel I had laying around, spread the roof cement under the shingles (probably used to much, but better safe than sorry), pressed the shingles back down into the cement and let it sit. None of the shingles have tried to lift again. I even sealed some areas where shingles flew completely off. No leaks where i put the cement. I do not know anything about Henry's, but probably is similar. Good luck.

Very similar and will perform the same as a temporary measure...
