What product to use to patch my bitumen roof?

Hello, I need to do a patch of my bitumen roof that is leaking around an old skylight. Can I use GAF Liberty self adhesive roll & Cement the seams. The skylight is located right next to the roof drain & there are many depressions where water is pooling. I have a good idea of how to go about the patch, but need a recommendation on what materials are best to use? i.e. what type of membrane? & what type of cement to seal the seams? The bitumen has been coated with that silver tar/coating. Also, can I use built up pieces of the membrane to level up the puddles? Thanks in advance for your help

Have you had a professional look at the rest of the roof? Usually, if you're leaking one place ... it's an indication of other problems (to come).

I'd point you to www.IBroof.com to find your local rep.

On the other hand, if you don't really care about the house (maybe you'll be selling it soon) ... then do it yourself - roofing really is that easy.
