What do you call the horizontal architectural feature that boxes in a gable end?


I'm wondering what to call the sloping horizontal section of roof on the bottom of the triangular area at the gable end. In the picture below, this feature has dentil molding right below it.

Found my answer! The picture above show a full eave return. This information comes courtesy of an architect on Yahoo Answers.

Now I need to figure out how to add one to the 17' uniterrupted gable end that makes up the front of the house. The look right now is a little reminiscent of a mobile home.
