What is best brand shingle

What is the bet brand of shingles. Looking for asphalt shingles that will last. Have Certainteed now that have only lasted 10 years. Roofer is trying to sell me IKO but I have found a ton of horrible reviews that IKO is junk.
Please help with your experience with the best brands.
Thanks for you assistance.

Your going to get 10 differant ansewers on this one question.
There has to be a reason your shingles only lasted 10 years. 90 % of the time it because of poor venting. If it's not corrected the new ones will also not last.

Joe, the reason the shingles only lasted 10 years is they we Certainteed that we manufactured along with all the other that had a class action suit for poor quality. I missed out on the suit, found out after close date.

Certainteed currently makes the best shingle. What you had installed was their organic shingle, not fiberglass. The fiberglass are still holding strong.

Also, you should still be able to recoup some money from the lawsuit.

No concerns with the fiberglass mats. One thing I don't recommend doing is a "closed cut" or a "weaved valley" for this location.

GAF are alright. We used to install them 90% of our jobs but I noticed late 2011 their quality decreasing and started using Certainteed and haven't looked back. I know Certainteed had that problem but it was only our region and I put a lot of faith behind them as well as they do now. We normally include 5 star warranties on our jobs which puts lots of people at ease.

Edit: I strongly disagree with using IKO.
