Wavy Elk Shingles
Part of my new roof has a lot of wavy shingles...which reminds us a lot of our old roof. This is the last part of the roof that was completed...could the crew have rushed to finish and sacrificied quality? Will they lay flat.

Also, I noticed that on the other side of the roof that the ice and water shield was not lying entirely flat. I don't think the roofers slit the wrinkles...the roof looks fine but could this be a problem down the road? Help Please.

Slit wrinkles in ice barriers negate the ice purpose of the ice barrier.

Elk shingles? When were they installed? If if last week, and youre situated with a north-facing side of roof, then it may take a few days since it has been cool out, if installed properly. Give it til the end of the week if this is the case and tell us the outcome.

Thanks for responding, I truly appreciate your expertise.

The roof was finished Friday 21st. Weather has been wet/cool since. If all the shingles had a wave then I would think that time might cure all ills. I'm concerned that because the wavy shinlges are in clusters that it could be damaged shingles or poor workmanship? I meeting the roofer tomorrow at 7:00 AM and would welcome any knowledge you can arm me with.
