Waht is the best material to use to resurface an existing deck over a screened porch?
I have a slightly sloped 12’ x 33’ deck on the living level with a screened in porch below with a walk out lower level. When the deck was installed in 1984 it had a fiberglass surface which lasted many years. It was replaced with an inferior surface 2 years ago which has proven not to be waterproof. I’m looking for a contractor that can replace the substrate and cover it with a waterproof walk able surface – membrane, fiberglass or elastomeric acrylic with a polyester fabric.

You really didn't give enough info. Was the fiberglass removed? What is the existing roofing? What is the roof deck made of? Plywood, plank, aspenite or what? Is there railings and fixtures on the deck? Is there a curb or a flat edge detail? There are many ways to do this job and the best is whatever is fully functional at the lowest cost. But to asertain that you need to know these details.
