valley weave

I have a leak from the asphalt weave in the valley area.
I really do not want to rip up the area but would like to apply alternate fix.

In that case, good luck to you.

Quick fixes usually end up costing you more in the long run.

Try to find the exact place of the leak. Most likely if it is in the valley, there may be a nail causing this to happen. You are not suppose to nail in the valley, but this may have happened. If you can pinpoint it, get some clear geocel and place a dab on the nail head. If it's more than a few spots, it might be worth reroofing.

tear it out and loose the weave.use a waterproof underlayment.reshingle.no leak.
climb up on the roof look for anything, slap some crap on it,fix the leak?yes, slap yourself on the back.no,climb back up and slap more crap on there.keep doing this until you can see it a mile away then call a good roofer to come fix it and he'll charge you extra just to work in the mess that was made.lol j/k.

Is this leak from rain or ice dam?

Un fortunately, I have found that anything other than dis-assembling the valley, finding the source of leakage, and repairing accordingly is nothing better than a shot in the dark. How much valley is it? Could be a few hundred dollar repair.
