turbine vents and ridge vents

we have 2 turbine vents on the roof now. we are having the shingles replaced and they suggested a ridge vent. should we leave the turbine vents and add the ridge vent or will the 2 work against each other

If you have functioning soffit and gable vents then ridgevent alone will satisfy your venting needs.IMO turbines are salvage and are not worth the cost.

They are an eye sore and make alot of noise and allow precipitation and critters in your attic.

+2

They are almost universally incorrect. Passive ventilation is always more preferable.
