tiny balck spots on the living room ceiling

Hi

We recently bought a 8 yrs old house. I could see some very tiny black spots in in the living room. We recently improved attic ventilation by installing gable vent and attic fan. But am very much worried about the
spots. Will anyone help me regarding this issue?. It will be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks
Bharathi

So since you installed the vent and fan, does this mean you have been in the attic recently and can find no evidence of these spots or mold from above in the attic, maybe under the insulation?

Hi

Thanks for ur response. The home inspector checked it already.
Then he asked us to improve the ventilation. But my consent is
i could see that small spots only in the living room.

If your Powered Attic Ventilator is running while there is inclement weather, their is an extreme possibility that the elements can be drawn in through the gable end vents.

Are your black spots near one of these gable vents?
