I used to use tamko in conjunction with certainteed. Meaning if you called me and said I want you to be my roofer I would bring out both samples. I have Tamko on my own roof. However this year I made the decision to sell only certainteed. After inspecting a few jobs I have found that the shingles do not always seal. Just looked at another one wednesday 2 years old, some shingles sealed, some not.
I've mentioned this a few times on the forum and I seem to be the only one having this issue. Or maybe I am the only one who has noticed it. Too bad though, I used to really like Tamko.
Sometimes the savings that comes from doing it yourself can be blown away with one mistake.
