Synthetic felt...Anyone have any experience?
I'm having a roof put on my house (30 year comp) in about a week, using a very reputable contractor.
They've bid Rex SynFelt (synthetic felt, www.rex-synfelt.com) instead of 30# conventional felt. I have never seen this stuff before. It looks like one of those plastic blue tarps you'd put over your woodpile. I'm perhaps a bit old-school in that I didn't know there were any alternatives to 30# felt. Anyone ever use it, have it, hate it, love it? Thanks! |

I have never heard of that. However i think the best is titanium udl 30 Ask them if they can use this synthetic instead. If the answer is yes. Then your a big player having titanium udl 30 on your roof.

I never heard of that brand.
Poor website to find out where to buy the product. Here is what I found that shows a picture of it. http://www.alphaprotech.com/product/179.aspx?catid=30 How much does it cost and where is it available? Ed

That's the stuff Ed. I can't say what the price is...It is just part of their bid. All I know is that I've never seen it and I'm around homebuilding 5 days a week!

It's newly manufactured from that company.
