Hahahaha...Well hopefully you didnt bet too much because I did go and get one pulled today!!
Im glad I did so now we can do it with no worries(well not exactly but..ya know) so thanks to everyone. The only thing now is that I recieved a call from some guy, forget his title. And he was telling me since I am doing it so quick and they cant come out and check on roof when everything is pulled off, i guess i need to take pics and show that I re-nailed my deck with what he called #8 ridgeback nails or something, and they need to be 6" apart..When doing my research I didnt come across anything like that . Thought it was just remove or nail in any nails on the deck , put underlay and so forth...Any advise is appreciate as always!
well done. what you discovered is very typical. you can do all the research in the world but the inspectors still has the last word and it must be done his way. Yet you also need to get everything to code. If something happens latter you get sued. you say" But the inspector passed my job and I did what he said " You still get sued and loose... and their lawyer will try to sue the inspector and the town also. It's a tricky world out there.
