Smart Vent installed against a wall for exhaust ventilation

The first 4 photos are showing the Smart Vent being used as an exhaust vent abutting a wall from a higher section of the home.

The last photo is showing the Smart Vent being installed at the peak on a shed style roof on the same residence, but this photo was taken prior to the last section of plywood being cut out and having a smaller width section of new plywood being installed to correspond with the slot in the Smart Vent for proper exhausting of the vaulted/cathedral ceiling trapped air in all of the individual rafter bays.

Here is the link for the type of application we used this product for. It is closer to the off wall shed roof application.

Smart Vent installed against a wall for exhaust ventilation

Although I do like the Smart Vent product for various unusual applications, such as the shed roof to wall application, a mid roof application, and for intake ventilation especially where there are no overhanging soffits, I still prefer the Shingle Vent II Ridge Vent product due to it's external wind deflecting baffles and the internal filter, plus it looks very good installed on th entire length of the ridge of the homes we do.
