Slope angle for dog hose roof

Hi All,

This is my first post here! I am looking for a little help on a small project that I am going to undertake. I am going to build a new duplex dog house with a slightly sloped roof (not quite flat).

My question is how to cut the top framing 2x4 's for the proper angle to give me a gradual slope for water to run off. I am thinking about a 1" slope from front to back.

The dimensions of the house are 71" (left to right) 39" (front to back) and 40" from top (highest point) to bottom.

I would appreciate your expertise! And Thank You!

Set your framing sq. to 3/4" by 12 and you'll have a bit more than 1". BTW, don't use shingles on this flat roof.
