Skylights and roofing

I want to have skylights installed, but my roof also needs replacing. Does it matter which I have done first? Thanks

Skylights and roofing

I did mine at the same time
Replaced the roof & installed skylights
Ideally with the way the flashing ties in it should be at the same time

What kind of roof ?

Skylights and roofing

The roofing will be composite; the skylights will have curbs. There may be a considerable amount of time between the projects though, which is why I'm wondering.

If you do the skylights first (no reason not to if it will be awhile before you re-roof), be aware that the flashing may need to be replaced when the re-roof is done.
