skylight leaks

I had skylights(Kenergy) installed in 1993. they are now leaking. Even though the contractor has a lifetime warranty on leaks he says its not valid because the skylight seal is defective. Is there any recourse? also, the skylight company is out of business. Original contractor says I need all skylights replaced. does this seem correct?

skylight leaks

If the skylight company is out of business then any warranty with them is no longer valid
I imagine the contracor warrantied the installation against leaks - not the actual skylight
Without seeing pics hard to say - a fix might be some sort of caulking or sealant
But that may only be a temp fix due to the Temperature differences

skylight leaks

Yes, pics would be great, and if the skylight is able to be disassembled in order to replace the seal, you may be in luck.
