silicone for flashing & exposed nails
Somewhere I saw a post about the merits of siliconeII over the asphalt cement. Supposedly the asphalt would crack & fail from exposure much sooner than the silicone.
Would you recommend its use and where? |

silicone for flashing & exposed nails
I am in Australia, over here it really depends on the surface that yo are using it on, the main product that we used is Mathys Fillcoat, which is a combination of Fibreglass fibres and a poxy resin (not a twin pack though, just drip the brush and brush it over), this tends not to dry out and crack and lift like the ashpalt, and tends not to shrink or go brittle over time like the silicone. Not sure if you would have this product over there, but if you can give me a few more details of the situation that you have I may be able to help further.
Hope this is of help. |
