siding trim pieces

Hi,

I was wondering when using fanfold insulation behind vinyl siding should put up the trim pieces and starter strip then install the fanfold around it and inside part of the corner and j channels?

Nope, install all the fan fold then the trim.
Why are you using fan fold?

For just a small layer of r value and air barrier. When I install azec around the door will that crush the fanfold once the azec is screwed into place? Also do you wrap the fanfold around the corners?

For what little R value you going to get and the added cost for the fan fold and tape to seal the joints, the extra time and labor involved, possibility of setting up a double vapor barrier, I'd be going with house wrap instead.

How do you consider fanfold a vapor barrier?
