Siding replacememt

I have removed the old cedar vertical siding and have a question before going back with 105 lap siding. There is a layer of sheathing on top of the studs. Can I put the new siding on top of this sheathing or do I need to put a layer of vapor barrier on top of the sheathing before installing the siding? Will be sealing the new siding on all sides prior to installing with oil based primer.

No vapor barrier, you need house wrap. Such as Tyvek.
No way would I willingly install 105, way to much mantaince for me.
