Shingle material cost 2009 vs 2011

He's the local family roofing company and has been in business for 30 years. We see their trucks everywhere.

Wonder if 2009 was so lean they were just keeping their guys employed and cash flowing.

Wait till demand for quality work comes back and wages increase. These houses will cost double that for a new roof.
Then when the houses got done, the only thing that increased was materials.

theres a lot of things that go into a bid. Do you know for a fact it is the same sq foot on the roof? Same pitch? Same valleys? skylights? Maybe they can't back the truck next to the building for easy tear off. Maybe his best hand quit and now he only has slow retards working. Theres a million reasons for 2 different houses to have 2 different prices in 2 different decades

only thing you can do at this point is shop around and compare prices.
