sealing a flashing boot
I have my service drop going through the roof. There's a rubber boot around it but the pipe isn't directly in the center, so it's causing a gap.

What is recommended to seal this? It's a rubber/plastic boot with rigid steel conduit. Thanks!

Fill the interior gap with a good sealant such as Vulkem caulk first.

Then, buy a stainless steel radiator hose clamp with the screw that tightens and loosens the strap. Wrap the exterior circumferance with the strap and then tighten it up. If their are any sloppy voids in the compression seal, then apply more Vulkem sealant to the surface.

Is it possible to slide a new rubber boot over the old one and seal the gap?

A service drop pipe is one that already has the electrical lines connected to it, so you xcan not just slide a new boot over the top of the pipe.
