screw down roof. Can I use Liquid Nails too?

I have a bunch of screws backing off in my screw down metal roof. I was going to go back in with either one gauge larger or perhaps just longer same gauge screws. However, I was wondering if I could add some liquid nails or whatever adhesive to the thread to maybe help prevent backoff in the furture. Or am I just wasting time?

Any thoughs are appreciated.

Use a good caulk like NP1 and set the screw gun to 1-2 so you don't over-compress the washer.
If it won't drive at that setting, move up a level until you fing the minimum torque needed.
