rubber or torch

I need to replace a rubber roof and have had 4 roofers look at it. One gave me a offer to go with a rubber roof or a torch roof. What is the pros / cons, benefits on both, what is better and why and which will last longer and is stronger, etc.
I can not find info on torch.
Torch is 280 cheaper.
Thanks

Rubber is a lot better but only if its done by a crew who is trained for it. Torch down is considerd lower end but can also be a good roof .

Depending on what the terain around the roof is like and the amount of debris which may wind up on the roof surface.

The properly installed EPDM roof with the flashings done per spec and fully adhered is a very durable roof, except for roof top debris.

The APP Modified Bitumen Torch down roof is more meaty and durable, but presents additional fire hazards during the installation process.

Neither is recommended for a DIY project due to the importance of what a roof covering does for protecting your valuable assets indoors.
