Since Owens Corning came out with the Duration 30 with a 110 mph wind rating. Most other companys are following in the same suite. Now Timber-Line/Elk and Tamko are upping there wind rating to compete with Owens Corning. So basically 110 mph rating is going to be the standard on 30 year Laminated shingles.

All shingle manufacturers who market in Florida (all of them) must have 110 mph or they do not sell in Florida. This has been in effect for several years now.
