Roofing felt
I am needing to repair the structure of my back porch, I had to remove a section of the roll roofing.
When I repleace the roofing after the repair, what type felt is reccomended, #15 or #30?

I noticed on the roofing that I removed they had atleast 2 to 3 layers of felt held togther by lap cement, what is the reccomended number of layers of felt below the top roll roof?

What is the best way to seal the seam that I created when removing the section of roofing?

Thank you.

15# on shingles,30# on flat, put it down halflapping the 30#(seal the laps),you sure it`s not better to replace the roll roof w/something more modern like certainteed flintlastic sa(SBS)
