Roof water flow Problem
Hi everyone, I hope someone can answer my question here. I've got a fairly large house that had a front porch added on to it at one time. The problem is that rain seems to be flowing over my gable end. The new porch doesn't seem to be the problem but its in near the loacation. It's washing out my mulch and the siding gets very dirty but the worst thing is that the basement leaks bad here. Is there a diverter for gable ends of a roof? I mean some water is gonna go that way but this looks like it needs gutters to handle it all. I can't tell if the roof is just sloping that much to cause it.

Do you have a picture of that area?

A J-Channel, with the channel portion facing upwards, installed Under the shingles along the gable/rake edge would prevent that flowage off od that edge.

Well I don't have a picture that shows that specific section. However this picture shows the front of my house. The roof water run off causing the problem is to the right of the front porch and it seems to be the heaviest near the porch. along the bushes on the right side right above the single window on the ground floor but it appears to be a problem all along that section.
