Roof Overhange

I have a 28' x15' house with a 12" overhang. I would like to add a 4' overhang to the front without any post. Its a gable roof on a 4:12 pitch. Overhang will go on the 28' side.

Roof Overhange

Is the existing roof a truss system or is it stick built using dimensional lumber?

Are you willing to remove the shingles and roof sheeting on that side of the house to accomplish the changes?

A picture of the house would help.---Mike---

It is stick built. Yes i am willing to remove shingles. I am also tall and would like a minimal slope if possible.

Yes it can be done but it will take alot of extra work if you dont want the supports on the front. Also with minimal slope your probably looking into a single ply roof since your eve's are probably 12' or so. A picture would help.
