Roof leaking in warm weather only
One area of my roof the shingles meet alum. siding at 90 degrees. I'am getting a little water coming inside and dripping down the wall. This doesn't happen during the cold season, only in warm season. There is no flashing there. And if I did need flashing , not sure how to get it under the alum. siding without destroying it. Any suggestions on how to fix this.

Hello Bob, Does this happen only when it first warms up from the long winter?

What I am thinking is you have or should have, an ice dam, flashing under your shingles and behind you siding, if this is only happening now during the thaw chances are the ice buildup is going up the wal past the top of the flashing, when it melts it runs down and inside.

I agree, it sounds like an ice jamb. I have to also ask, isn't there an overhang, ... where the roof line hangs over the walls? Even of a gable end there should be a little overhang. Just adding flashing probably won't solve theproblem, it would just slow it down some.
Another possibility is a leak in the shingles and if there isn't any felt paper or drip guard underneath, ... and there is a seam, this may also be the culprit.
Can to take a picture or two to show what and where the problem is?
