Ridge Vents...No Soffit Vents?


You (hopefully) have ventilation baffles between your roof joists that allow air to circulate from the bottom up to the vent, preventing a buildup of moisture. You might not have visible soffit vents at the bottom but the there should be an air inlet into this space.

This is what baffles look like, before the installation of insulation:

Great photo of what you're talking about. I'll try and find out if I have any baffles.
