Ridge Vents, Gable Vents, Soffits in an unheated garage

I am getting quotes for siding and gutters. I have an unheated garage with a finished 2nd story. There are knee walls on 2 sides of the drywall upstairs and there is a continuous airspace behind the knee walls that are open to the garage below. There are no soffit vents nor is there enough overhang for soffits (this is an old garage). The ridge vent spans about 3/4 of the ridge. Should I seal up the 2 gable vents? Is there enough airflow with what I have? Do I have to open up the space between the rafters to allow for soffits. Again, this is an unheated space.
