Ridge-Vent or Attic Fan?

Loking for recommendations: We are getting a new roof and are considering either getting a ridge vent or an attic fan. Any suggestions on which is the better option to go with and why? Thanks...

My personal preference is the ridge and soffit vent( no electricity) if you are concerned about air flow adding gable vents , or a single solar fan will give you more then enough air

Ridge-Vent or Attic Fan?

Check out airvent.com- it will show you that you should never install ridge vents with gable vents- you'll short circuit your home' s ventilation system. With an attic fan gable vents work even better by drawing the cold air (high pressure area) up through your soffit vents and then into your attic (low pressure) and out through your gable vents.
