replacing boards behind gutters with trex?

The boards that are behind my gutters are rotting and need to be replaced along with the rusted half rounds. Since all of my trim is gray and trex decking comes in gray, I was thinking of replacing those 1x6s with trex... or pressure treated wood. Any recommendations?
Thank you!

I don't think trex or most of the other manmade decking materials would be a good choice for gutterboards. They really aren't that ridgid and I'm not sure how they would hold in whatever gutter fasteners you would use. I have used the 5/4 x 6" treated deckboards for gutterboards when replacing the old 3/4" pine gutterboards that have gone bad. The extra 1/4" usually fits under the shingles without causing any problems. If you use the treated boards, get the proper screw fasteners meant for treated lumber to screw into the ends of the rafters.

ok... good advice... and I will get those special screws. I knew that trex was hollow so I thought that the treated wood would be a better choice.

+1

Trex isn't rigid enough and would be wavy. You can get a foamed PVC (ex. Azek) that would work fine.

Paint it or cap it and you are done.
