Howdy folks, new member here. I just bought a little 2 bed bungalow in a small town for 400/mo over 28 months. Probably an old farmhouse, it's not as bad as one would expect, but definately going to need work. Today after living in it for 2 weeks and doing some minor work, I finally decided to explore the attic crawlspace to inspect roof condition from the inside before attempting to put my 270 lbs up on the outside. I removed plastic and paneling over the crawlspace entrance, stuck my head in ready to throw a bug fogger and run and......wait....is that.....wtf???
Before my eyes are 2 sections of the exterior of a roof....inside my crawlspace?? Has anyone ever come across this before? Looks like additions were made to an even smaller than current house, and new trusses and rafters laid down around and under some of the old roof and parts left behind. It doesn't appear any of the old roof is actually used for support thank god, but new trusses were just laid right over the outside, practically resting on the remains.
