Reduce Roofing Costs

You know what they say? CASH IS KING!

BUT if you gotta pay 25% cash advance it really won't save you anything... In fact it will cost you more...

Reduce Roofing Costs

the prices of oil and steel are way up (because our dollar is worthless mainly) so the price of a roof is going to be way up. My house is also just under 1,000 ft2 and I need a new roof too. I got 2 quotes at $7700 for asphalt, 1 a decent bit more and one steel quote at $9200. Its a very complex roof with rather poor access. I also expect I will need significant repairs over and above the quoted prices. We were saving for a new mini-van, but the roof is getting that money, plus a small loan to cover any unexpected expenses.

You are not going to get your roof done for a price you like unless you do it yourself. there is no sense and getting a super cut rate roof because it just wont last. buy once, cry once.

you can tell them your story of woe then ask them if there is anything you could do to bring the price down, but don't expect much. figure anything you could do to save them labor is probably worth less than $8/hr. and if there were corners to be cut, they'd cut them in the quote to insure they got the job.
