re-roofing and temperature?

How late into the year here in central PA is it prudent to re-roof. I need to replace a small 21'x13' rolled roof over our kitchen and replace at least one piece of sheathing. Is there a point where it just gets too cold for roofing cements and sealers to work? Right now I'm debating whether to attempt this myself or try to find a contractor willing to take on such a small job. How much should I expect to pay a pro for a rolled roof, 21'x13', slightly pitched and then the flashing for the 21' where the kitchen meets the house and around our chimney....thanks for any help? -bradC

Rolled roofing probably wouldnt worlk well right now where you are, you are correct.

In my area, I would have to charge 1800.00 plus plywood. I am ouside of Chicago.
