Question for Roofing Professionals

I am in the process of having my roof replaced. They started the job this past monday. They got the garage complete and removed half of the old roof (cedar shake) on the house. They laid the tar paper over the entire half of the roof and got a few rows of shingles down before the rains started and they haven't been back since Wednesday. The weather finally broke today and they will be back on Monday.

My question is - should they replace the tar paper that has been directly in the rain for the past 4 days before they lay the shingles over the remaining half of the house or does the rain really have no effect on the paper?

Thanks.

Question for Roofing Professionals

As long as it's dried out, there is no issue. If it's saturated with water, I hold off until it's dry. You can tell just by looking how it is.

Question for Roofing Professionals

It does tend to wrinkle. We make our guys tarp as well it so it doesn't have that problem
Should not be an issue though
