A question on a quote

Tscarborough,

What region do you live in? Do you ever get any snow and ice builds up in the winter?

Your home is a prime candidate for the continuous ridge vent, and I recommend the Shingle Vent II.

The amount of mushroom static air vents being quoted wil NOT be enough to meet even 1/3rd of the requirements for a shingle warranty, but even more to the point, to alow the shingles to last as long as they should.

Do you already have a signed contract with this joker?

I would throw him out on his azz, for being so incompetant and unknowledgeable.

If you give me all of the eave lengths, valley lengths, gable/rake measurements, and ridge lengths, I could write up a simple specification for you to have your contractors adhere to.

My e-mail shoud be in my profile here, but if not, check it out at CT.

Ed
