Question about how to roof under Heating and Airconditioning unit
I have reached the part of my roof where I need to place the new shingles under the brace that supports the Heat and Air unit, I have uncovered the screws and to be frank I'm surprised at the size of them (I have larger screws in the ceiling that hold my air vents in). I don't know if I should just undo two screws at a time (being so small I'm afraid they might get bent or tear at their foundation) or take all four out at once, I have a regular sloped roof for Southern California. Any help would be much appreciated. Oh also I am re roofing my home with Timberline 30 yr over 3 tab shingles.
All is good got the roof finished under air and heating unit!
Thank you for your response, I did manage to get the shingles up under the brace today with the help of a friend, we lifted the unit after unscrewing all the screws and it went surprisingly easy. (thank goodness because I wouldn't know how to post pictures!) Thanks again, lot2do
