Pricing for Chimney work

I have a chimney that's about 5 feet by 18 inches. One side of the chimney faces my screened in porch. During recent rains I've been having some bad leaks around the chimney that were getting the brick wet and actually dripping onto the indooor/outdoor carpet below. I had someone go up there and seal all around the chimney flashing and on the chimney cap. He's experienced with roofing and did tell me that the flashing was installed correctly. During some recent rains most of the leaking was stopped. But about a week ago, we had a soaking rain all night long. I noticed that at one corner of the brick that's exposed in the screened in porch was wet and there was some water leaking. Anyway, I called a local roofing company and the owner came out a looked at it. A few days later he called and said that something didn't look right as to how everything was installed. He gave me a quote of $1122 to reflash the chimney with new tin and ice guard will be installed around complete chimney and metal painted. He's been doing this for 35 years and comes highly recommended. I'm just wondering if this price is in line for this type of work?
